ATHENE
A five-chapter relaunch for a New York psychological astrology practice. Three concept directions explored, one shipped.
The brief
ATHENE is a psychological astrology practice: birth-chart readings grounded as much in psychology as in astrology, built around one practitioner's voice and a small set of offerings. The brief was a full relaunch: a site and booking flow that felt as considered as the readings themselves, for a brand built entirely around one person's name and point of view.
The approach
Three complete concept directions were designed and built out, not mocked up, each with its own logic for how a visitor moves from discovering the practice to booking a session. The direction that shipped, The Almanac, treats the site as a published volume: five chapters in sequence, a gold-foil rule across the top, and a full-bleed chapter for offerings rather than a standard pricing grid.
Every direction, not just the winner, came with a fully working booking flow: real offerings, two add-ons that update the total live as they're selected, and a short intake form. Review wasn't limited to pictures of a homepage; the client could actually book a session in each version before choosing one.
Where it stands
The Almanac is the direction moving to production now, ahead of launch on ATHENE's own domain.
